Deicated Server
For the extended and extended plus packages we provide two dedicated servers located at our facility that will handle your present airline's performance requirements. The price of the servers is included in the monthly maintenance charge.
The two servers are load balanced together and their databases are mirrored.
The servers share the performance requirements and if one server fails the other automatically takes over. When the failed server is put back on-line it automatically reconciles the data from the server that did not fail.
For the limited and standard packages we supply one server.
Our dedicated servers are connected directly to the Internet backbone network. The connection to the Internet provides unlimited usage so there is never a usage charge for connection or usage of the Internet.
As your airline grows and requires more performance we can install additional servers to the load balanced and mirrored database servers as required. The only cost to the airline is US$350.00 per server per month for the server and connection to the Internet.
Out configuration allows for servers to be added to the load balance and mirrored database capabilities no matter where in the world you would like to add an additional server or servers. We will install and maintain the remote servers. The additional cost is US$300.00 per month per server. The airline must supply the servers and connection to the Internet for these servers.
With your permission we will install two backup servers located at the airline. These backup servers can take over if the primary servers fail and in addition they are capable of running off line which allows the airline to keep working if the local Internet goes down. The cost for each additional server is US$300.00 per month per server. The airline must supply the servers and connection to the Internet for these servers.
The facilities/rules where our dedicated servers are located have the following characteristics:
- No installation/start-up/discontinue/maintenance fees.
- Secure Facilities.
- Two separate external power grids.
- Auxiliary Power Generator.
- Connection to the Internet with +150gb bandwidth.
- Connections to Internet with multiple Internet backbone providers: qwe.net, bro.net and pbi2.net.
- 365/24/7 available human support.
- Upgrades to larger sized or additional server. There is no upgrade or installation charges but the airline will be responsible for the cost of the additional hardware.
- System back-ups are done each 24 hours, with passenger and cargo data backed up on a real-time basis..
- Back-up of each transaction is maintained in the mirror servers.
- Data is not archived, all data is on-line and available at all times.
Client Terminals (Remote and Local)
We recommend a DSL connection, if it is available for your remote and local terminals.
Any Personal computer connected to the Internet that has an Internet browser installed is sufficient for terminals.
System Programming
All required system programming for the servers are provided at no cost to the airline.
Network Connections
If there is no connection to the fiber optic back bone in your country a high speed network may not be available and you may need to connect via a dedicated satellite connection. eRES supports fully satellite connections with no changes or problems.
Electrical Supply
If in your country electrical power is not reliable we recommend auxiliary back-up power generators.
